When Jaclyn first emailed me I knew right away we would hit it off. The first indication was that she said she wanted to do their engagement session with their canoe, and I love canoes. The second indication was when she was describing the vibe of their future wedding, and then the third was when I asked if they liked beer and she said “oh yeah we’re big beer people”. So yeah you could say I love these humans.

Originally we planned to do their session at the ever-popular Sparks Lake here in Bend, but we decided to switch to Elk Lake last minute and I’m so glad we did. We hit the most perfect golden hour and had so much fun goofing around in the water and on the beach. Hanging out with these two felt like spending an evening with old friends, and I’m thrilled to photograph their wedding next year.
