Jesse + Maddie | High Desert Engagement Session

Jesse + Maddie are proof that engagement sessions don’t have to be over the top to be beautiful and epic. 

I love an elaborate engagement session, don’t get me wrong, but I also love just frolicking in the desert. So that’s what we did for Jesse + Maddie’s shoot.

The weather was questionable and we had several backup plans, but in the end we stayed dry and got some golden hour sunshine. They brought their doggo along (my favorite) and we spent the hour chatting and laughing, talking about their home renovations, wedding plans, travels and life.

So if you’re thinking that an engagement session has to mean stiff, posed, over the top photos, let this be the proof that you can do engagement photos however the hell you want, including just running around in the desert with your dog. Can’t wait to see this two get hitched this summer.
