Fallon + Rob | Bend Oregon Winter Vow Renewal
Ever thought about doing something wild like, idk, snowmobiling to the top of a peak and renewing your vows? Well. That’s exactly what Fallon and Rob decided to do. This past March, my dear friends Fallon and Rob agreed to teach me how to drive a snowmobile. They also agreed it would be fun to haul all their wedding clothes (and a cooler full of beer) up to the top of Paulina Peak here in Bend Oregon, and re-read their vows to each other in front of one of their favorite views. It was more than just fun - it was the most insane, beautiful, exhilarating experience. My partner and I arrived to the snow park to find these two smiling and giddy. We were given the rundown on driving snowmobiles, and then we were off. We putzed along for a couple miles on flat ground and then shot up the trail to the peak. At the top, we set up a little fire, cracked a cold one, and took in the views. It was perfect. What started off as a blue bird day quickly got windy and cold, but they weren’t deterred, and so around 6 pm on a Monday, Fallon and Rob said “I do” all over again. We all cried icy, happy tears as we huddled around a fire and savored the adventure. So, if you’re thinking about finding an excuse to wear those wedding clothes again, let me be the first to tell you that you don’t even need one. Being in love is as good a reason as any.
