Ericka + Rebecca | Portland Spring EcoTrust Wedding

Ericka + Rebecca tied the knot on a partly cloudy spring day in Portland Oregon. 

The rain poured down in sporadic increments as they got ready in their separate hotel rooms with a few close friends and family. We all had our fingers crossed for some clear skies in the afternoon but had the umbrellas close by, just in case.

Ericka and Rebecca shared a sweet first look on the patio of the hotel with sweeping views of downtown Portland. They exchanged letters, and we snapped some photos of the wedding party. And then we all headed a few blocks over to the rooftop ceremony at the EcoTrust Building in downtown Portland.

As the ceremony began, the rain started to come down again, but that wasn’t going to stop anything. Everyone popped open their umbrella, and we continued with some beautiful readings and their heartfelt vows.

Next, we made our way to the reception where the two sweet alpacas named Napoleon and Jean Pierre were welcoming everyone. As the sun came out, we took the fuzzy friends to the roof for some portraits. Then we went back downstairs to enjoy an amazing dinner, heartwarming toasts, and a killer dance floor. It was great.

As a special surprise, I shot my very first roll of Super8 film for Ericka + Rebecca! It’s choppy, grainy, and imperfect, but that’s the whole point. Putting together this little video for them brought back all the feels.
