2023 | A Year In Review
2023 was a year of growth.
I started off my year by moving to Denver Colorado (somewhat unexpectedly) and it was one of the best things I think I’ve ever done for myself. I was able to travel back to Oregon countless times throughout the year for my incredible clients and live a summer full of van life adventures, all while building a new community here in the Rocky Mountains. It was beautiful.
My business took on a lot of growth as well. As an analog wedding photographer, it feels like my time to shine is really here. More and more couples are asking for film wedding photography and I have never been so excited for something to start trending. My first love (film photography) meeting my dream job (wedding photography) meant that, for me, 2023 was a year full of Polaroids and Kodak scans and Super8 films.
After a packed wedding season, I settled back into fall here in Colorado, got to explore a little more of this beautiful state, photograph some of my friends, and start making connections in the film photography community. Denver has surprised me — fall here is absolutely breathtaking, the art scene is bustling, and there is more culture than I was anticipating.
Truthfully, I’m finding myself as an artist again, and it feels dang good.
All of this to say, 2023 was a year full of film, art, and connection. Something tells me 2024 will only bring more.
If you made it this far and you like what you see, let’s chat.
