Hannah + Joey | In-Home Portland Engagement Session

Hannah + Joey are absolutely made for each other. I met them both when I was working for the Deschutes Brewery in Portland a couple years ago, and we’ve been friends ever since. I remember when Hannah told me they had a trip to Spain planned for spring of 2019. The first thing I said was “Do you think Joey is gonna propose?!” well turns out that WAS his plan (oops! luckily I didn’t completely spoil the surprise). The night that he popped the question, I got a sweet little message from across the world that was simply a photo of her ring!

2020 was supposed to be the year they tied the knot. When we shot their engagement photos in June, we were still hopeful their fall wedding might happen despite the covid. Unfortunately, plans had to change and they had to postpone, but they did so gracefully and with a positive attitude. Hannah even shared on her instagram - “If 2020 has taught me anything, it’s that Joey and I can get through anything together. I was worried that we would have a hard time in lockdown, but in fact, we grew even closer together and had an absolute blast every single day- it was the highlight of my year. Being stuck together in our house for three months only strengthened my confidence in our relationship, and assured me that we are going to have an amazing life together.” So, I told you. They were made for each other. Can’t wait to celebrate with these two next year!
