Skylar + Jimmy | Bridal Veil Falls Couples Session

I met Skylar in May at a photography retreat and we bonded almost immediately. At the time, she and Jimmy lived in Florida, but as we got to know each other she admitted that Jimmy had a job opportunity in Portland and they hoped to be residents of the Pacific Northwest someday. On the very last day of the retreat, before Skylar left to catch her plane, Jimmy called to deliver the news that they would in fact be moving out to Portland over the summer! And despite the fact that we had just met, we hugged each other so hard it were as if we had been friends our whole life. Fast forward to now - Skylar and Jimmy have been enjoying Portland life for a couple months and they’re absolutely in love (but who isn’t right?) Skylar and I meet regularly for coffee dates and photographer talk. We’ve been on some double dates so that we can explore the hundreds of Oregon breweries. So of course I insisted we go out and have the most quintessential PWN photoshoot ever. We barely made it in time for some solid daylight, but we had the whole place to ourselves, and it wasn’t raining so really it turned out perfect. Skylar and Jimmy radiate love when they’re together, and we had a damn good time running around the waterfall snapping photos. I’m so stinking happy to have them close and to be able to show them around some of my favorite places, including this one. What a dream.
